The University of Southampton's Student Excellence Fund provides matched funding opportunities for student-led projects - which help to improve facilities and equipment, as well as financial support for student clubs and societies.

Help us raise money to #SaveFlappy, who is in dire need of a new trampoline bed!

We are looking to raise £1650 so we can #SaveFlappy (yes, we name our trampolines). We need to  replace his old, worn out trampoline bed with a brand new one; giving him a new lease of life! Without this, Flappy will be out of action, and we cannot afford to fix him on our own!

Who are WE?

We are Southampton University Trampoline Club (SUTC); one of the country's biggest university trampoline clubs, with over 75 members; ranging from complete novice to elite levels!

We are an extremely friendly club, encouraging members of all abilities to join, ensuring they are getting the most out of their training and making them want to push themselves. We believe this is the reason for our success as a club, including winning SUTL (Southern Universities Trampoline League) 2 out of the last 3 years, and we are currently in 1st place going into the final competition of this season, which we are hosting in Southampton!

Those who don't jump will never fly

Trampolining is an extremely exciting sport, offering a fun and unique way to exercise whilst experiencing the feeling of flying! From recreational to competitive jumping, we offer something for everyone. In recent years, the popularity of trampolining has boomed, not only at public trampoline parks, but even in our own club, which has helped see our member numbers almost double since 2014.

However, to maintain the success and size of our club, we must also maintain our trampolines. This is why this project is so important to us; losing the use of a trampoline would reduce our capacity and also the training quality for our members, by packing more people on each of the remaining trampolines and resulting in less training time per person.

We also need the use of all our trampolines for our annual competition, where we host around 400 people and showcase the best of the university trampolining community to Southampton!

If we hit our minimum target of £700, this will allow us to replace some of the safety pads around the trampolines. These need replacing to maximise the safety of our trampolines for our members.

If we hit our target of £1650, the money will cover the cost of purchasing a brand new trampoline bed to replace the old, worn out one on Flappy.

If we EXCEED our target, which we would be extremely grateful for, it would enable us to not only replace Flappy's trampoline bed, but also replace additional parts, such as the safety pads and springs.

The University have kindly agreed to match your donations from the Student Experience Fund, meaning that for every £1 you donate, we'll receive £2!

We have some amazing rewards to thank everyone who donates, from a club t-shirt to a free trampolining session with the club for those of you who are feeling even more generous! They are all listed on the page, so go check them out!
